If you're not failing every now and again, it's a sign you're not doing anything very innovative.

In Beverly Hills... they don't throw their garbage away. They make it into television shows.

Life is divided into the horrible and the miserable.

Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering - and it's all over much too soon.

Man consists of two parts, his mind and his body, only the body has more fun.

I think being funny is not anyone's first choice.

I want to tell you a terrific story about oral contraception. I asked this girl to sleep with me and she said 'No.'

Favorite Oscar Wilde quotes

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation. -Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde quotes:

I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it.

We have really everything in common with America nowadays, except, of course, language.

It is better to have a permanent income than to be fascinating.

Hard work is simply the refuge of people who have nothing whatever to do.

Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life.

No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist.

Anybody can make history. Only a great man can write it.

It is through art, and through art only, that we can realize our perfection; through art and art only that we can shield ourselves from the sordid perils of actual existence.

As long as war is regarded as wicked, it will always have its fascination. When it is looked upon as vulgar, it will cease to be popular.

It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.

I can resist everything except temptation.

Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about it.

Between men and women there is no friendship possible. There is passion, enmity, worship, love, but no friendship.

In this world there are only two tragedies. One is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.

Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.

What a pity that in life we only get our lessons when they are of no use to us.

Men marry because they are tired; women because they are curious. Both are disappointed.

The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.

Children love their parents. Eventually they come to judge them. Rarely do they forgive them.

Education is an admirable thing. But it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.

Friendship is far more tragic than love. It lasts longer.

Religions die when they are proved to be true. Science is the record of dead religions.

If one tells the truth, one is sure, sooner or later, to be found out.

The old believe everything; the middle-aged suspect everything; the young know everything

Time is a waste of money.

My dear fellow, the truth isn't quite the sort of thing one tells to a nice, sweet, refined girl.

The only way to behave to a woman is to make love to her if she is pretty and to someone else if she is plain.

All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his.

It is absurd to have a hard and fast rule about what one should read and what one shouldn't. More than half of modern culture depends on what one shouldn't read.

Relations are simply a tedious pack of people, who haven’t got the remotest knowledge of how to live, nor the smallest instinct about when to die.

When a man does exactly what a woman expects him to do she doesn't think much of him. One should always do what a woman doesn't expect, just as one should say what she doesn't understand.

The good ended happily, and the bad unhappily. That is what Fiction means.

To speak frankly, I am not in favour of long engagements. They give people the opportunity of finding out each other's character before marriage, which I think is never advisable.

Thirty-five is a very attractive age. London society is full of women of the very highest birth who have, of their own free choice, remained thirty-five for years.

Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast.

Women have a wonderful instinct about things. They can discover everything except the obvious.

Fashion is what one wears oneself. What is unfashionable is what other people wear.

However, it is always nice to be expected, and not to arrive.

High hopes were once formed of democracy; but democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people.

The only thing that one really knows about human nature is that it changes. Change is the one quality we can predicate of it.

I have said to you to speak the truth is a painful thing. To be forced to tell lies is much worse.

A thing is, according to the mode in which one looks at it.

When a man loves a woman does anything for her except continue to love.

When a woman marries again it is because she detested her first husband. When a man marries again it is because he adored his first wife. Women try their luck, men risk theirs.

Money can not buy happiness, but seeks a feeling so similar, it takes a very advanced specialist to verify the difference.

Talk to every woman as if she were in love with her and to every man as if he was teasing you. And will soon have the reputation of possessing the most exquisite social tact.

Woman inspires us to do great works, but they themselves who prevent us from doing them.

Punctuality is a waste of time.

    Mi papa

    2009/11/3 Enrique Araujo <enaralba@yahoo.com>
    Cuchi:
    Besitos,
    Papà

    Papi,
I got them all!, I'm going to look for one.

10 Signs: Change Is Happening in Your Life

In 2007 I went to the Republic of Panama to hear a group of inspirational leaders teach an advanced personal development seminar about change as it relates to our lives. One of the speakers, Ellie Drake, spoke specifically about “signs that show you that change has begun in your life.” This picture was taken on the day of that seminar (Yes, I had blonde hair then).

One positive thing that has come out of this uncertain world economy is that it has paved the road for incredible personal development within us all. Many of us are getting “back to basics” and remembering what is important in life.

I see many people using this time to make changes and grow personally. In times when people are forced to step out of their comfort zone, true personal growth and fantastic breakthroughs can occur. But, how do you know if you’ve actually begun to change?

Some people wouldn’t change anything about themselves and I think that is great! I am not suggesting anyone make changes, but for those that are on a constant journey of growth and change, here are my notes from that pivotal speech.

Here are 10 signs that real change has begun in your own life:

    1. Growing craving for nature (when trying to connect with yourself, you inherently crave nature)
    2. Growing discomfort (uneasiness about what the future holds)
    3. Growing sense of loneliness
    4. New skills emerge that you didn’t know you had
    5. New relationship with time (instead of psychological time, which is worrying about past or future – You enter clock time, which is living in the moment)
    6. You no longer crave for the old bad ways of life
    7. The depression and exhaustion doesn’t make sense anymore
    8. New sense of self-curiosity
    9. Suddenly you feel like everything that happened in the past is irrelevant
    10. Instead of praying for “things” you start to pray for “strength” or “truth”

If you are feeling any of these things, you are on your way to achieving more personal satisfaction in your life. Best wishes on your journey!

    De mi papa

    He wrote:

No, he venido a traer paz sino la espada.”

    10-35-36-37

    If Google can...

If Google can do it, so you can. Google is seeing problems, solving them, and finding opportunities in them by thinking in new ways. This is all about finding your new worldview.
There are two ways to attack the problems of industries: to reform the incumbents or to destroy them. In some cases, we'll take one path, in others both. But in any case, the wise course is to destroy your own models before some kid in a garage--or in a Harvard or Standford dorm room-- figures out a way to do it for you. Think like Google, succede like Google--before Google does.
